The available treatments for aTTP include:


1. Plasma exchange1
2. Immunosuppressants: Often administered as an adjunct to plasma exchange1
3. Cablivi (caplacizumab): A humanised bivalent nanobody consisting of two identical anti-von Willebrand factor building blocks. It works by preventing the ultra-large vWF-mediated platelet adhesion and the subsequent formulation and accumulation of microthrombi. To be used as an adjunct to plasma exchange and immunosuppression2
