Specialised service

NHS England have proposed the provision of a specialised service for TTP. This includes inpatient and outpatient services for all ages and for the acute presentation, chronic presentation, acquired, congenital and other subgroup forms. This is in light of the complex condition requiring prompt diagnosis, early referral and effective management in a centre with a multi-disciplinary approach. Specialist-led coordinated care is key to improving the outcomes of this patient group.1
